This year the community has been working hard to get ready to enter the Brandwood Blooms project into the ‘Urban Communities’ award category of Heart of England in Bloom in 2026. Alongside Dawberry Corner Community Garden and Poly Partons, Brandwood Buzz venues, schools and some businesses have adopted beautiful floral displays in new community planters. These have been made by and planted up by over 70 volunteers of all ages working with Our Scene CIC. The initiative has been and will continue to create opportunities for residents to learn woodworking and gardening skills, encourage greater social action, and generate a vibrant buzz across Brandwood — for both people and pollinators.
