Treasure hunts around Brandwood neighbourhoods
Enjoy a fun cycling, running or walking challenge around Brandwood. It’s a great activity for families as well as for individuals who want to explore in a different way (a bit like geocaching). The Treasure hunt uses the GPS tracker functionality on your smart phone!
Figure of Eight Fitness Trail in Dawberry Fields Park
Enjoy a smile-making walk around the park, with some challenges, facts and jokes along the way and you’ve guessed it, you’ll be following a Figure of 8 loop!
Great to do as an individual, family or group. Start at one of three entrances.
Banter Benches Activity Trail in Dawberry Fields Park
Use this trail to enjoy a walk around the park with your children as they play detective! Walk with purpose to enjoy the painted banter benches (summer 2023) and admire the artworks created by local artist Tom.
Rest & Reflect Trail in Brandwood End Cemetery
Head to the bench opposite the Lodge to start a slow and gentle stroll around 6 benches where you can take a breather, enjoy the calm and nature and spend time reflecting and sharing your life experiences in a light-hearted way. Find out access information on the first page.
The Friends of Brandwood End Cemetery have a number of walks and trails, including a main drive history trail and also 4 mapped, measured and timed trails for joggers, walkers or cyclists on their website available via this link.
Nature Doors ‘Discover & Do’ trail at Lifford Reservoir
Lifford Reservoir and woodland sits between Brandwood and Kings Norton. It’s a special, hidden place with wildlife in abundance. This ‘Discover and Do’ trail will help you explore and learn about nature in a fun and interactive way. While the Nature doors may no longer all be in position, you can work your way through the activities at intervals during a visit.
The Great Quest of Brandwood Neighbourhood Trail
Starting at The Brandwood Centre, your quest is to find a magical artefact around Brandwood and defeat your enemy in a battle. There are a few stops and challenges along the way. Pick your team – Team Villain or Team Hero – and follow the route, unlocking clues as you go.
